Barbara A. Shoemake Allen

Barbara Ann (Shoemake) Allen, 80, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015, after a courageous battle with health issues. She was a vibrant and caring woman who loved her family. Barbara was born in Lehigh, OK, on January 15, 1935, to Roy & Pauline Shoemake. Barbara graduated from Colgate High School. She married Bobby Dale Allen on June 26, 1954, and they shared their life together until his passing in December of 2007. She worked in the home to raise their children. She then worked at Goodrich’s doing alterations and sales. Then she started working at Shirl’s Dress Shop and later became the owner for almost 30 years.

Barbara is survived by daughters, Brenda Wright (Marty) of Mustang and Bobbie Dill (Gary) of Tahlequah; grandchildren: Justin, Jodi, and Cori; great-grandchildren: Jaxon and Everet; brothers: Roy Shoemake of Pocola, OK, Vernon Shoemake or Carlsbad, NM, Ronnie Shoemake of Albuquerque, NM, and Larry Shoemake of Albuquerque, NM; and twin sisters, Sharon Phillips of Arizona and Karen Shoemake of Indiana; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Her smile and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.
