She was a beautiful daughter, Sissy, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.
Adria was a vibrant sassy little girl who loved dancing and being silly. She would make up stories about stinky cheese with dad. She enjoyed going to Jonas Brothers, and Justin Bieber concerts with momma. Adria loved for Papa Rod to tell her scary stories and walk with her through the trees out on their property. She loved to sing songs at the top of her lungs with Gigi. Asiah thinks Sis hung the moon and wanted to be just like her. Abel just wanted to be near Sissy because he loved her so much.
She is survived by her father Adam, stepmom Ashley, brothers: Asiah and Abel, multiple grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Adria moved from Shawnee to Oklahoma City in 2008 to live with Adam and Ashley. They spent a lot of their time doing family things such as going to the lake, camping out, and family game nights. Adria was active growing up with dance, then transitioned to gymnastics, and then played basketball until the end of eighth grade. She went to Yukon High School, where she was involved in Leadership. Adria’s first job was at Subway, and she got her first car at 16. Adria completed concurrent enrollment classes with Redlands Community College while in high school. She graduated from Yukon High School in 2019. She continued her college education at Redlands Community College and received her Associate’s Degree in general studies.
Adria moved to Edmond at 19, where she lived until November 2021. Just before Thanksgiving, Adria admitted she had a problem and needed help. She made the brave choice to go into treatment in Houston, Texas, at the Into Action Recovery Center. Adria was able to get sober and transition into Sister’s In Recovery, a sober living facility in Pasadena, Texas. While we don’t know the circumstances surrounding her death, we do know she was struggling with addiction.
