George Clay Minor, age 79, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, a retired furniture factory worker and had worked at Security Plus as a security guard.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home in Ecru with Rev. Joe Herndon officiating; burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Ecru is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his two daughters: Teresa Robbins (Wayne) of Ecru and Kimberly Jo Coker (Ronnie) of Abbeyville, MS; two sons: Steve Moody (Kathy) of New Albany, MS and Anthony George Minor of Ecru; his sister: Mary Nell Smith of Myrtle, MS; the mother of his children: Shirley Ann Hill Minor; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: G.W. Minor and Quay Carter Minor and his three sisters.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Robbins, Horace Kitchens, Justin Robbins, Brody Hendrix, Randy Wilson and Anthony Pegues.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 PM Saturday and from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
