Born in Dover, NJ, Bob was the son of the late Dora Francis (Shamburg) and John Henry O’Leary.
Bob served in Korea. He was a carpenter, roofer, and remodeler. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, working in his shop, getting ready for his next adventure in the woods. If you stopped by to see Bob, you very quickly learned to use tools and help fix things. Although yellow was his favorite color, he always seemed to be dressed in the latest camo pattern. His ATV was his main mode of transportation, with his faithful dog lucky. Bob spent his entire adult life chasing the elusive Turkey and Big Rack Bucks all over the USA. He won the chase more times than not. He was known for telling it like it was, and not holding back his opinion. He was a Life Member in the NRA, and a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Bob is predeceased in death by Bill, Raymond, August, Jack, Sarah, Betty, Margaret, and Patricia.
He is survived by his sons, John D. O’Leary and wife Sheri, of Stroudsburg, PA, and Robert O’Leary Jr., of Port Charlotte, FL; his grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, and David; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Olivia; his West Virginia family, Harry Beasley, Brian, Travis, and Selena; Cathy, Joan, Rosemary, Michael, Donna, Joe, and nephew, Paul.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NRA in memory of Bob.
