MaryAnn Zaczek, 72, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 23 at Paradise for Parents Nursing Home, Surprise, AZ. She was the loving wife of Michael F. Zaczek with whom she shared 49 years before his passing in 2015.
Born April 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Josephine (Chisare) Liberto , of Brooklyn, NY.
MaryAnn worked at Blue Ridge Cable in Stroudsburg for over 30 years before she retired to enjoy life. MaryAnn was a nurturing, stubborn, devoted mother, keeping tabs on her daughter at all times, even into her adult years.
MaryAnn was not an outdoors kind of lady; she enjoyed hanging out inside, watching TV shows. Her recent favorites were Blue Bloods and 24. MaryAnn loved to socialize, after her husband’s passing, she joined the Loyal order of Moose Lodge, in Stroudsburg. She was a funny, quirky character who will be sincerely missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
In addition to her husband and parents, MaryAnn had been preceded in death by her infant daughter: Karen Zaczek and furry companion, her dog: Falon.
Mary Ann had been survived by her daughter Debora Pliska, of Peoria, AZ; her brother: Thomas Liberto and his wife Esther, of New Hyde Park, NY; her nieces: Laura Liberto-Sosa and Michele Liberto, both of New Hyde Park, NY , and JoAnne Madonia and her husband Anthony, of Lake Worth FL.
A public viewing will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at The Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am Saturday, April 1, 2017 at The Church of St. John’s, 5171 Milford Rd, East Stroudsburg, with Father Gregory A. Reichlen officiating.
