Kim R. Plattenburg Sr, 64, of East Stroudsburg, went to heaven to be with his mother on her birthday January 9, 2017. He was born on September 11, 1952 in East Stroudsburg and was the son of the late William and Lorraine (Kammer) Plattenburg.
He was the husband of Joann Plattenburg with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children: Kim Plattenburg Jr, Roger “Butch” Slocum, Holly Gilliland, David Slocum, Tracy Fuller; his special caregiver Kathy Halterman; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; Also surviving are his brother and best friend William Plattenburg and sisters Nancy Nordmark and Joan Kresge, and many nieces and nephews.
Kim was an avid Eagles fan, always seen wearing his Eagles cap. He enjoyed doing puzzles and sudoko books. He was employed for many years with Asplundh Tree Service.
Predeceasing him were a daughter, Christine Halterman, granddaughter, Crystal Fuller and his best bud Stretch.
His wish was to be cremated with no services, but to help defray the cost of this monetary donation may be made to Darbi Dunning, 104 East Broad St. East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
