Born September 16, 1959, in Jersey City, New Jersey, as the fourth child, only son, of Joseph and Sally Pantozzi, née Dragonette.
Later the family moved to East Stroudsburg. He was a class of ‘77 Stroudsburg High School graduate where he made lifelong friendships. He later attended the University of Pittsburgh and Thomas Edison State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology.
Joe’s greatest joy was in fatherhood. He loved his children in both absence and presence. His sons Joey and Mitchel joined Jesus early. He mourned for them greatly, yet lived for his surviving daughter Tabitha and son Fred. He adored and loved his dad and sisters.
Anyone who knew Joe knows that he radiated kindness. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved his music and volunteered with The Compassionate Friends, accompanying others through their own grief.
We cannot forget his biggest love…the Yankees! Joe’s life was like the baseball diamond. It began in the “batter's box”, he's hit a fantastic “grand slam”, and is now back at “home plate.”
Joe is now with those whom he grieved for so long, especially his mother, who sadly passed away in 1975.
Additional survivors include sisters Teresa Janssen (Joseph), Peggy Robertson and Diane Black (David); four nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lifelong best friends Victor Paulus, Keith White, John Best, Tommy Mitchell also mourn him.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, there will be no services at this time. Your personal memories of Joe are welcome by communications with friends and family.
