James A. Palmer Sr.

Born in Washington, NJ; August 22, 1944, he was a son to the late Robert G. and Grace (Pennise) Palmer. James was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School in 1962.

He was the husband of Donna L. Goucher Palmer. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November of this year. He was employed at the Phillipsburg Journel of Commerce for 34 years. He then worked for Iridium Industries and Silgan plastics, retiring in 2006.

Jim was a member of the Hi-winders Car Club and enjoyed collecting and refurbishing antique cars. He also enjoyed working with his computer, editing and making family movies for his family and friends.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a brother Robert G. Palmer whom passed in 1981.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James A. Palmer. Jr. and his wife Judy, of Woodale, PA; a sister, Helen A. Hilliard and her husband Gary of Mt. Bethel, PA; a sister-in-law, Carol Palmer McIntosh and her husband Joseph, of Easton, PA; a sister and brother- in- law, Cindy and Brian Foley, of East Stroudsburg, PA; Grandsons, Jon J. Palmer and Ramon Molina granddaughters, Tara Molina and her fiancé Peter Joseph; Kari Molina and her companion Chris Davis, Great Grandsons, Lincoln Molina and Maddox Joseph, with a third great grandchild due in April, 2013. He is also survived by 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc. 27 Washington Street East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Cremation will follow at H.G. Smith Crematory , in Stroudsburg.

Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to the time of service.
