Born August 13, 1955, of East Stroudsburg, Jim was the son of the late Genevieve E. (Barr) Chamberlin and James C. Chamberlin Sr.
Jim was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, the late Bernetta (Fish) Barr and James Mosier Barr with whom he lived most of his life. Jim was also predeceased by his paternal grandparents, the late Emma Irene (Williams) Chamberlin Lockard and Franklin James Chamberlin. Jim is survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins.
Jim graduated in 1974 from Stroudsburg High School and the Monroe County Vo-tech in Auto Body. He was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Over the years, Jim was employed by Ernie Smith’s Auto Body, Kmart Enterprises, Abeloff Pontiac GMC Nissan, Gray Chevrolet, Bogarts Exxon, Pat & Red’s and R. J. Groner, Inc.
In his younger years, Jim raced in the Limited Sportsman stock car racing. Jim’s passion was bass fishing and he fished the Red Man tournament trail & also the Golden Blend tournament trail along with club tournaments. Besides Jim’s love for bass fishing, his hobby was making fishing lures.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. with a service to follow.
