Cindy Leigh Cobb, 66, formerly of East Stroudsburg passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 22, 2015 at the Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida with her loving husband Paul of 47 years was by her side.
Born in East Stroudsburg on May 9, 1948, she was a daughter to the late Earl and Wanda (Flanagan) Weiss. Cindy graduated from East Stroudsburg High School where she played saxophone in the band and was the head majorette. She was also a part of the glee club. She then continued on ward to the Franklin School of Medical Science of Art in Philadelphia, PA. Cindy was a Medical Technician, Founder and former owner of Pocono Candle Shop in East Stroudsburg and Country Heart Candles. Also part owner of the Burger Chef Restaurant in Stroudsburg in the late 1960’s. Paul and Cindy had a family owned business together the Burger Queen in East Stroudsburg.
Cindy was a Pastors wife and enjoyed being the church worship leader, youth leader, choir director, Sunday school teacher, cheerleading and majorette coach and teacher.
Paul says that “Cindy has always been by his side in ministry and in business, they did everything together, they were inseparable. “
Paul and Cindy loved sharing their lives together while serving our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to her husband Paul, surviving are son; Chad Cobb and his wife, Patti of Springboro, PA; a daughter: April Wolf and her husband Frank, of Lafayette, Indiana; a sister: Marae Hurley of Pittsburg, PA; three grandchildren Katherine, Joshua, and Sachel.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Earl and Wanda.
A public viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
An additional viewing will be held from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Berean Bible Fellowship Church, 1028 Tara View Drive, Stroudsburg immediately following will be the funeral service with the Pastor Davis Duggins, officiating. Interment will be private.
