Willie Lee Smith

Mrs. Smith was of the Baptist Faith and was a loving wife and mother. She loved her family and was always there for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Smith; daughter, Paula Lee Smith-Carlisle; son, Paul Christopher Smith; sister, Violet Elizabeth Overturf (known as Bo-Peep); brother Thomas Donald Coffman; grandmother, Willie Eugenia Thomas; parents, Thomas and Violet Mae Coffman, and other siblings.

She is survived by her son, William Phillip (Andrea) Smith of Oak Ridge, TN; brother, L. Walter (Sissy) Coffman; sister, Norma (Spencer) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Melody Smith, of Lexington, KY; son-in-law, David Carlisle, of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Becky (Lance) Bumgardner, Beth (Jarrid) Rowe, Zachary Smith, Jonathan (Karen Matney) Smith; great-grandchildren, Story Christine Bumgardner, Sage Elias Bumgardner and McKenna Richelle Rowe.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:00 PM, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Michael Ake officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the funeral home.
