William “Bill” Hatfield, passed from this life to his eternal home with his beloved father, Billy and mother, Aline on January 31, 2020. God needed an addition built on our heavenly home and called His best carpenter to complete the task. William was a man who had many talents. He loved to feed his family and friends with his delicious cooking. No one could make you laugh by telling a story like William. And never did he call anyone by their given name.
But his greatest talent was taking care of his family and friends and his gift of giving. William would give you his last dollar or the shirt off his back. He would also give you a whooping if he thought you deserved it.
William took his time searching for the love of his life and at the age of 40 was blessed with his wonderful wife Tammy. To say that she completed him would be an understatement. He was her rock and her protector. Their love has been a story that fairy tales are made of and only a few will experience. Their grandchildren, Jayla “Scooter” and McKenzie “lulu” brought them more joy than they could have ever imagined.
William was very loved by his sister Arlene “Sissy” (Bill) Raulston, brother Randy “Ran” (Amanda “Sweet sister n law”) Hatfield, son Cody, nieces and nephews Ciara “Little Bit” Raulston, Lance “Boofer” (Tabby) Hatfield, Jordan “Sneaky” Smith, Dillon “The Animal” Raulston, Cassie Elliott, and Alex Barker, as well as great nephews Rhett, Ryder, Kaden, Easton, Caspen, Ezra and great niece Adaline. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers are Fred Entrekin, Boxer Pickett, Bobby Higgins, Bill Raulston, Dillon Raulston and Lance Hatfield. Honorary Pallbearers are David Brown and Jerry Sharp.
In lieu of flowers, William would hope that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness in his name.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tennessee. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
