Virginia Cecile Holt

She was employed by Gilman Paint and Wallcoverings for over 47 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ, serving as secretary of the children’s department for more than 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andrew Frank Holt, Jr.; sister, Mary Sue Robinson; brother, Ernest Henry Holt; and niece, Joyce Holt Walker.

She is survived by her great niece, Marilyn Walker Fisher (Gary), great nephews, Robert Kirk Walker, Jr. (Patsi) and James Holt Walker, several cousins and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of Hixson, particularly Tony Overstreet, for their caring concern and compassion in her final hours.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 20, from 1:00 – 3:00 at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral Home with Minister David Schonhoff officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
