Thomas Dale Alley

Thomas Dale Alley, 63 of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on January 22, 2019. Dale as he was known was a graduate of East Ridge H.S. Class of 73. He also attended and graduated Chattanooga State with a degree in electronics. Dale was a member of Spring Creek Church of God. He was a gifted musician. Dale played the bass guitar. He was active in the gospel music circuit having performed with several notable groups including, The Morgan Family, The Singing Celestials, Elmer Cole and the Tennesseans, and lastly the Happy Harmony Quartet.

Dale was preceded in death by his dad, Thomas David Alley and mother, Catherine Brannon Taylor.

Left behind to cherish Dale’s memory are his wife, Kathy, son, Robert (Crystal) Alley, Chattanooga, step-children, Amy (Ben) Finney, Chattanooga, Daniel (Meiyen) Kennedy, Atlanta, GA., Matthew (Jessica) Kennedy, Henegar, AL., and Caleb (Nellionna) Kennedy, East Ridge, grandchildren, David, Daniel, Emily, and Nathan Alley, Autumn Eubanks, Liliana Moore, Hailee Kennedy, Addison Finney, Ashlynn Kennedy, Ainsley Kennedy, Bridgett Kennedy, Olivia Kennedy, Caydence Kennedy, Emilia Finney, Matthew Kennedy, and Gabriel Kennedy, great-granddaughter, Serena Gilbride, and a step-sister, Regina Clonts.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with his son, Rob Alley, officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
