Susan Chamberlain Nichols, 68 of East Ridge, Tennessee passed away on June 11, 2019. She was of the Methodist faith. She graduated college with a Bachelor’s Degree from Mississippi State College for Women. Susan taught school for 37 years and was with the Catoosa County School System for 30 years at Ringgold Elementary/ Primary School as a kindergarten teacher.
She was preceded in death by her father, Neil Chamberlain, and step-father, Boyd Webb.
Left behind to cherish Susan’s memory are her husband of 48 years, Samuel Nichols, children, Curtis Nichols, and Brittney (Christopher) Justice, mother, Pauline Webb, sister, Rebecca (Eric) Weiser, step-brothers, Roy (Karen) Webb, Dickey (Janis) Webb, and Nancy (Lars) Friis-Jensen, brothers-in-law, Murray Nichols and Lt. Col (Ret) Fred Nichols, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held graveside in the Lakewood Memory Gardens on Saturday June 15th 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with her brother-in-law, Murray Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Susan’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
