Robert was born in December 1929. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kellogg Shepard; his daughter, Jane M. Shepard Dill Sells; his parents, Robert Parker Sr. and Mona Shepard; his brother, Benjamin Sanborn Shepard; and two sisters, Marjorie and Mona.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Eleanor M. Shepard (Daniel S. Amick); his son, Rob Shepard; and his grandson, John R. Dill.
Robert retired from the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission as Chief of Research after many years of service. He cherished his longtime choir membership with Pilgrim Church of Chattanooga.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 400 Glenwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404.
