He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester B. (Irene Heiner) Bowden, his step-mother, Annita Wright Bowden and his brother, Lester B. Bowden, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula Bowden Wilson and son, Robert W. Bowden, Jr.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
