He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff Davis Willey and Eva Estelle (Shehorn) Willey; his wife of 71 years, Dortha Willey; daughter, Lisa Lynn Willey; and his brother, Clarence B. “Jack” Willey.
Richard is survived by his son, Dan (Tamara) Willey, and daughter, Teresa (John) Riggs; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchild; sister, Anna Lou Willey Rhodes; and much extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
