Peyton James Hogan, 21, of Chattanooga died Friday, November 13, 2015. He was a 2013 graduate of Red Bank High School and attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College. Although a talented truck mechanic and craftsman, Peyton’s greatest gifts were his generosity, loyalty and unconditional love for family and innumerable friends. A modest, unassuming young man, Peyton always responded when called to help, encourage, and support whoever came to him in need or for the pure, simple pleasures his friendship brought. In his short life, he touched countless people, all of whom will be better for having known him.
Survivors include his father, Chris Hogan; mother Mary Alverson; stepfather, Ken Goldsmith; stepmother, Carol Hogan; brothers: Krisotopher Corey Hogan and Blake Goldsmith; sisters: Kristen Miles, Ashley Olinger and Alexis Hogan; grandmother, Patricia Alverson and Deni Heaton.
Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Linda McDaniel and Dr. David Harr officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
