Peggy Ann Twomey

Peggy Ann Twomey, of Ringgold, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the age of 84. Peggy was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and north Georgia area. She was born to the late Lee and Nora Slaten of Chattanooga, TN. She graduated from City High School. She worked in the medical field for many years as a licensed x-ray tech. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was a longtime active member of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML).

She was preceded in death by son, Donald Twomey and brother Eugene Slaten.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bob Twomey Jr.; children Michael (Dee) Twomey of Hixson, TN and Paul (Anne) Twomey of Ringgold, Ga; grandchildren, Taylor Twomey, Hilary Coker, April Summers (Bryan), Jacob (Nichole) Twomey, Mason (Llydia) Twomey, Noah Twomey, Emilee Jones, Constance Twomey, Lacey Twomey; 10 great grandchildren; brother Charles Slaten and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend that will be dearly missed. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and leaves a lasting legacy of faith and family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18 from 4-8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home East and Thursday, May 19 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church followed by the funeral service at 11:45 a.m. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, East
