Paula Diana Barton Powell of East Ridge, Tennessee lost her long battle with cancer Monday, February 27, 2012 at the age of 66. She was born in Chickamauga, Georgia but moved to Hixson, Tennessee at a young age. She was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School where she was Drum Major in the marching band. She was a long time employee of Shaw Industries where she held a supervisory position.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Minnie Barton and her sister Norma Quickmire.
She is survived by her sons Dustin (Kathy) Powell, David Powell and Jeffrey Powell, grandson John Powell and granddaughter Lauren Powell. She is also survived by her sisters Nancy Leamon and Judith Stabile and her close friend Howard Levi.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist with the Rev. Don Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 PM Thursday and from 10-11:30 AM Friday.
