She was a graduate of Central High School. Mary was raised in the Methodist faith. Mary worked at the Kingwood Pharmacy and at Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a claims adjuster.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all that knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Alvis W. Holland, Jr., parents, William and Ethel Beane, grandson, Carter Holland, brother, John Beane, sisters, Mildred Smith, Helen McHarge, and Dorothy Schissmauter.
Left behind to cherish Mary’s memory are her husband of 44 years, Donald Worley, sons, Alvis W. Holland III, and Steven (Lucie) Holland, grandson, Randy Holland, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday December 8, 2020 at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends on Monday December 7, 2020 from 5:00-9:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.
