Mary Alice Mason

Mrs. Mason was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She moved to Tennessee after college, married, and raised a family. She was a dedicated homemaker and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was active in the Methodist church throughout her life and, in recent years, was in a house church pastored by Young Brock. She was a prayer warrior who prayed continually for others. She radiated a spirit of thankfulness and gratitude.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix S. Mason, her daughter, Valerie Jean Mason Smith and parents, Berdine and Clarence J. W. Smith.

Surviving are her children, Felix Spencer (Deborah) Mason, Charlotte, NC, Stephen (Anna Marie) Mason of Great Falls, VA, and Mary Susan Mason Jaramillo of Chattanooga, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and brother, Clarence J. W. Smith, Jr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Graveside Services will be at 2 PM on Friday, February 12, 2016, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Howard and Rev. Ben Matherly officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Romanian Mission Children’s Summer Camp, PO Box 255, Ringgold, GA 30736.
