Born in Iola, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Oral Jefferson Taylor and Velma Etta Tomlinson. Marge received degrees from Austin Peay State University and Memphis State University. She was a long-time employee for E.B. Harvey and Company. In more recent years, she volunteered at Hospice of Chattanooga.
Marge enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and spending time with family. She will be remembered for her generosity and the love she shared with family, friends, and strangers.
She is survived by her children Carl Jefferson Henderson (Joan), Bryan Christopher Henderson (Elizabeth), and Jay Wallace Henderson; her grandchildren Carl Alexander Henderson and Nyssa Ann Henderson; brothers and sisters Wallace Gene Taylor, Anna Etta Grace Hammel, Betty Joyce Criss and Oral Jay Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday in the East Chapel with the Rev. Wayland Stewart. A private graveside for the family will follow.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Sunday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
