Mrs. Brannan was born and raised in Ten Mile, TN. She attended Bayside Baptist Church and was a dedicated and loving homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue (Darrell) Banks; grandchildren, Angel (Craig) Pond, Margaret (Steve) Selph, Kristopher (Nitashia) Banks and Shane (Amy) Banks; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Polly (Gene) Powell; brothers, Paul (Dora) Mitchell and Carl (Gladys) Mitchell, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Brannan; parents, Effie and Carl Mitchell, Sr.; brothers, Clyde, Buddy and LeRoy Mitchell; and sisters, Maxine Thurman and Jeanette Ratcliff.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Mitchell officiating.
Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 PM at Sewee Cemetery in Ten Mile, TN.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 5805 Lee Highway # 204, Chattanooga, TN 37421-3546.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
