Margaret Welch Anderson

She was a longtime member of East Ridge Baptist Church and the Chapel Sunday School Class. She was also a Sunday School teacher for 42 years and a graduate of Central High School Class of 1935.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C. J. and Lena Matthews; husbands, Winston F. Welch and Cecil P. Anderson; niece, Kimberly Hunt; and nephew, James Hunt.

She is survived by her son, Milton Welch of Chattanooga; sister, Pauline Hunt and nephew, Jerry Hunt of Rossville; two step-daughters, Carole Russell of Ooltewah and Janet Taylor of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Kevin (Katie) Welch of Hixson, Maria (Blake) Sharp of Loudon, TN, and Mark Russell of Chattanooga, TN; niece, Pat Childress; nephew, Lonnie Welch; and 3 great-grandchildren, Porter, Benton and Greer Sharp.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the funeral home.

Graveside Services will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Lakewood Memorial Gardens South in Rossville, GA with Mr. Roy Turley officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Georgia Baptist Children’s Home (PO Box 329, Palmetto, GA 30268) or to Caldstead Retirement Home.
