Lynda was a graduate of UTC with a bachelors degree in computer science. She had worked for the Chattanooga City Courts, Dixie Yarns and was a systems analyst for Chattanooga State Community College for 35 years. Lynda loved fine foods, was an Elvis fan, loved to shop and loved to travel
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Johnson Timmons and her parents, Robert and Peggy Meador.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Brad) Haven and Julia (Jason) Barnes and her cat, Toto.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Ed Salter officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
