He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Cordie Lewallen Sutton; parents, Austin M. and Florence Adams Sutton; brother, Floyd Morrison; sister, Naomia Tartar.
He was of the Baptist faith. He retired after 42 years of service from American Lava, 3M , Coors and General Electric. He loved to work with his hands in the garden and repairing lawn mowers.
He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Hartline of Flinstone, Georgia, Gina Sutton of Flinstone, Georgia and Cindy Spearman of Hixson, Tennessee; 4 grandsons, Chris Hartline, Corey, Alex and Aaron Spearman; two sisters, Forrestine Blackburn and Eloise Bates both of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at Forest Hills Cemetery at 2 PM Thursday EST, January 2, 2014 with Rev. Brian A. Maxwell officiating.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 3PM EST to 7 PM EST at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 12 Noon EST to 1 PM EST at the funeral home.
