Louise C. Price – 100 of Chattanooga, TN passed away peacefully Friday, February 28, 2020. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Granny, Great-Granny and especially for her love of music, dancing and tapping her toes.
She was born in McMinnville, TN and grew up in Bradenton, Florida. She came to Chattanooga after her high school graduation to attend Edmondson Business School where she met Bill Price, her husband of 63 years.
She was a member of the Brainerd Kiwanis Auxiliary and served as Treasurer for many years.
She was a faithful member of First-Centenary UMC and the Ault-Pacesetters Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Price was predeceased by her husband W. I. “Bill” Price, Jr., parents Eben G. and Ella M. Christian, two brothers, a sister and granddaughter Amy Louise Piazza.
She is survived by her daughters Martha Payne (Mike), Chattanooga; Charlotte Lowe (Jim), Rising Fawn, GA; Margaret Atchley (Jim), Vonore, TN. Grandchildren, Bill Payne (Angie), Johnathan Payne (Andrea), Brian Piazza (Sheryl), Ann Marie McBryar (Jamie), Heather Hodge, and Meredith DeBusk (Ben); Great-grandchildren Jackson, Victoria, Calvin, Luke, Ames, Wyatt, Harper, Brooklyn and Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews.
We want to thank the staff at Elmcroft on Shallowford and Amedysis Hospice for the care and love shown to our mother. She will be missed by the friends she made while at Elmcroft.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 12-noon-2 p.m. at First-Centenary UMC with a service following at 2:00 p.m. in the Kate Lyle West Chapel. Dr. C. Mark Gooden, Dr. David Harr and Dr. Linda I. McDaniel will be officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
