Ken was born in Lafayette, GA., on April 2, 1949 to the late, Sam Wilson Sr., and Josephine Dossett Wilson. Ken graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelors Degree. He was an avid “Volunteers” fan and cheered on his beloved Vols at every opportunity. Ken enjoyed spending time fishing, which he did often in his younger years with his son, Nicholas. Ken was a horror movie buff as well.
He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents, his brothers, Sam Wilson Jr., Charles Wilson and Harold Wilson.
Left behind to cherish Ken’s memory are his beloved wife of 51 years, Faye, his son, Nicholas and his wife Kimberly, a sister, Patty Sessions, his brother-in-law, Arthur Bookout and many special friends.
A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday October 7, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Natalie Smart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. He will be inurned at a later date in the Berry Highland Memorial Gardens in Knoxville.
The family would like to give special thanks to his doctor, Kellie Jolley who took such good care of Ken.
