The bestest of friends, the craziest of times.

Julie always brought the fun and made every night the best night ever. There was never a dull moment when Julie visited us in Oxford. She’ll forever be an Ole Miss Rebel!

I’m still heartbroken. Julie was such a good friend for so many years. Always willing to help with the kids, always willing to meet for a chat. So many memories- From running my first 5k, visiting Las Vegas, sharing terrible secrets. She always had a plan and everyone was always invited. I hope the family can find peace and carry on her amazing grace.

Julie was always like a mother to me. She treated every one of Brenna’s friends as if they were her own. I only knew her for about two years but it felt like a lifetime. Whenever I would need to get a stain out I would always text her and ask her how to get it out. Whenever I needed opinions on which clothing item to wear or buy, I texted her. Julie is a beautiful and amazing woman and I will always love her so much. She would always text me to make sure Brenna was ok and safe and even making sure I was safe. Whenever I would come visit, Julie made sure that I was comfortable and made sure I had everything I needed. She would always take pictures so we could carry memories with us for a lifetime. I will never forget her smile and laugh. I will always hold the memories I made with Julie close and never forget about the amazing woman, mother, wife, daughter, and friend that she was. I will forever love her. My sincere condolences to the family. I love y’all so much.

Mark, words cannot express the the pain of the loss of a spouse. I know all too well what you are currently experiencing. Please accept my deepest condolences and prayers for your family. God’s plan is sometimes very difficult to understand, but realize that there will be better days ahead. A friend told me on one of those dark days you will be facing - “when you’re walking through hell, keep walking” - that, my friend, is what you must do. It’s all you can do and that is what Julie would want of you. If I can help, please let me know.

Mark,  our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you and your family. We are so glad that we got to meet Julie and she was everything you had told us about her.  We knew she was a beautiful person, inside and out.  It was so obvious how much you loved and adored her, and how special your relationship was. There are people who live their whole life and never get to experience what you all had, so we know you are so thankful for that.  The pictures your family shared on her tribute shows a beautiful story of a lifetime filled with so many fun and happy times that you and your family and friends  all shared.  We hope with each passing day that those cherished memories will bring many smiles to you and everyone that loved her!


I met Julie a few times and was always met with a smile and a “hello” after that. She was always kind and positive. Prayers to all that loved her. 

I haven’t known Julie a long time, but she made me feel like we have always been friends. I first met her when she came to my house to pick out her puppy Dixie Mae. She came to visit her multiple times until she was able to take her home and I knew Dixie was going to have the best life ever, she was so in love with her. Julie made me feel like I could call her anytime with anything and she would be there even though she didn’t know me that long. I’m truly blessed to have known her and she really was a friend to everyone. I’m praying for the family to feel God’s presence and comfort during this difficult time!

Julie and husband, Mark, became my neighbors a little over a year ago.  Of course, the neighborhood is shocked at Julie's passing. The friendly and cheerful Julie was just too young. Julie loved to talk about the family she so dearly loved, the boating she always looked forward to, and the Creator we shared. 

There is a lot in this life that I don't understand, but as I told Mark, our consolation is knowing that Julie is now in the most perfect place. I'm thankful I got to have her and Mark as neighbors.

I'm met Julie when she was 13 and I was 15 years old and we became best friends and she was just so fun to be around.. We got pregnant around the same time with are kids and we're there for each other.. Just so many amazing memories together.. She will always be my best friend for life and for ever after.. I am so incredibly thankful to have known Julie. She was my second mom when I moved to Chattanooga as Haley and I quickly became life long friends. My family have felt her love and support in so many aspects of our life and we will miss seeing her at track and cross country meets and randomly running into her downtown! She was always so happy and kind. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Julie was a very special woman. She had a way of making others feel at ease and was a great listener. I loved co-grand-mothering with her and talking politics with her. She will be missed by many.

I met julie shortly after becoming close with Haley. If you know this family, you know that they never met a stranger and always welcomed everyone with a huge smile on their face, especially Julie. She was super mom & grandmom. Always put them before her and would be there any hour of the day. The last time I saw Julie we caught up and talked about so many different things, it’s hard to slow down and catch up but I’m so thankful that

I spent some of my time at Julie's house in my early twenties when I was good friends with Haley. Irelynn had just been born and she was the light of Julie's life. Julie always cheered on other women, she was the biggest fan of her kids and a second mom to so many of Haley's friends. Julie's voice/smile/and presence is truly one you don't forget. She is someone that you would enjoy running in to even if years had passed. Thank you for hanging with me and Haley when we were young but thought we knew it all and always encouraging us to know our worth as young women. You are so missed Julie 

I’m truly in shock. I haven’t seen her in a while, but we always enjoyed each other’s company. My heart breaks for her beloved children, grandchildren, and husband. I know they were her whole heart. Lots of love, light, and healing thoughts being sent to the family!

So sorry for your loss. Julie was such a kind person. She was beautiful inside and out. Praying for her family.
