Joseph T. Payne, 87, of East Ridge passed away on April 16, 2020. He was retired from Kraft Food of Chattanooga. He was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church. Joseph served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha A. Payne, parents, Leonard H. Payne and Elizabeth Barnes Lee, sisters, Agnes Tominac, Barbara White, Lanilee Payne, and Shirley Gail Payne.
Left behind to cherish Joseph’s memory are several nieces and nephews, and his caregiver, Rosalyn Fitzwater.
A Celebration of Joseph’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Monday April 20, 2020 with military honors. There will be a private graveside interment due to the COVID-19 restrictions that are currently mandated by the State of Tennessee and the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
