Joseph Farid Ankar, 61, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Joseph was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and his JD Degree from Memphis Law School. He was co-owner of Ankar’s Hoagies Restaurant.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Farid Ankar, brother, George Ankar, sister Nawal Ankar and sister-in-law, Giselle Ankar.
Survivors include his two sons, Noah Ankar and Nicholas Ankar, mother, Yasmeen Ankar; sister, Nadia Ankar, brother Eddie Ankar, many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3:15 PM Friday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Father Mike Nolan officiating.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
