John Joseph Walls Sr.

Mr. Walls was a member of Jones United Methodist Church and was a World War II veteran serving in the Philippine. He was an avid golfer.

He was retired from TVA after 26 years of service.

His wife, Doris Walls, son, Stephen Walls, sisters, Hallie Pinson and Margaret Foust preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Mike Walls of Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Wanda A. (David Hudson) Walls; granddaughter, Kristi Walls of Chickamauga; grandson, Ryan Walls of Signal Mountain; and one great-grandson, Caleb Walls.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the East Chapel with Rev. Larry Dial officiating.

Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 12-1:30 p.m. CST at George A Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Jackson, Tennessee, 1544 South Highland, Jackson, Tennessee 38301.

Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. CST at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, Tennessee.
