He was born June 23, 1939 in Sardis, Tennessee to the late C. T. & Bertie Frances Kelley
Mr. Kelley attended UT Martin and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis, TN. He began his career as a Pharmacist in 1961 in Savannah, Tennessee.
He retired from Eli Lilly & Company after 28 years of service. Upon retirement he worked for 11 years as a Contract Pharmaceutical Representative.
Mr. Kelley served on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Association. He was a member of the Brainerd Church of Christ for 48 years and more recently the Central Church of Christ.
His brothers, James Kelley and Billy Kelley preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Linda Kelley; sons, Wade (Jamie) Kelley of Chattanooga, TN; Brent (JoAnn) Kelley of Orlando, FL; Johnny Kelley of Chattanooga, TN; grandsons, Caleb Kelley of Chattanooga, TN and Nicholas Kelley of Orlando, FL; and sisters-in-law, Jean Kelley and Patsy Kelley of Lexington, TN.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 17, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at the East Chapel and Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. the church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Central Church of Christ, 400 Vine Street, Chattanooga, TN 37407. Minister David Schonoff officiating.
A private interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
