I THINK OF HOWARD OFTEN AND REMEMBER THE MANY PLACES WE PERFORMED AT WITH OUR GROUP THE VIVATONES! HE PALYED ON SESSIONS AT RCA IN NASHVILLE AND A RECORD IS ON YOU TUBE OF THE VIVATONES WHEN HE WAS TREMENDOUS AS OUR LEAD GUITARIST! SO SORRY FOR LOSING A GREAT FRIEND AND PRAYERS FOR HIS FAMILY! So very sorry to read of the passing of Howard.  My sincere prayers and condolences to hi family and loved ones.  In the late 50's and early 60's, we were in competing bands, he with the Vivatones and me with The Squires.  We all stayed in touch with a friendly competition.  A very talented guitarist.  RIP Howard.

My sincere sympathy to all the family.  Howard was not just a good guitarist but a good musician.  He could make up lyrics to songs on short notice and also played in clubs around Chattanooga.  A quiet and sincere person he will be missed.   Cousin Brian Levi

I am so very sad to hear that Mr. Levi has passed away.   I always enjoyed his visits to my office.  One day he came in and while we were doing business he said, I have something for you and he had made a ketchup squeeze bottle with string in it that shot out across the room like ketchup and we laughed so hard.  He was such a sweet man.  Praying for peace for this family because he will be greatly missed.  Amy Lopez @ State Farm

I pray peace and comfort for the family during this difficult time.  I was Howard's assistance at Crystal for 5 years in the early 90's. He taught me so much during those 5 years, things that I use every time I get behind a mixing console.  He was a very talented, caring, patient individual.  He loved god, family and music. Gospel music has lost a friend and talented man. There is no telling how many millions of cassettes and hundreds of recordings that Howard made. He will truly be missed but I know he is having one giant concert in heaven and I look forward to the day we meet again and make some glorious music in heaven.

We are sad to hear about Howard passing.  He was our neighbor for many years.  Howard was a kind, gentle and loving person.  Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.. John and Charlene Lackey.
