Harold was born and raised in Maryville, TN. He retired from Wheland Foundry and was an avid Heisey Glass Collector, UT fan and Lady Vols fan. His other interests included birdwatching and growing rhododendrons and azaleas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jessie Hammontree; brother, Keith Hammontree; and sister, Louise Odum.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Loleta Hammontree; daughter, Jacquie (Billy) Adams; granddaughter, Tiffany Skiles; great-grandsons, R.J., Brayden and Logan; and nieces and nephew.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday and 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Jones officiating.
Harold requested casual attire for all services. Jeans (etc.) are welcome.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
