He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Witzel, parents Ruby Witzel and Ray Witzel and one brother Bill Courtney.
He is survived by his children, Brad Witzel, Kevin Witzel and Dawn Witzel Lowery (Tom) of Chattanooga and Tammy Ponder (Jason) of Tullahoma, grandchildren Savannah Christopher, Gracie Ponder, Sophie Ponder, Charlotte Ponder and Bradley Witzel, Sister Sandra Witzel of Chattanooga and brother, Gary Witzel of Ocala, Fl.
Larry was a 1959 graduate of Rossville High School and a Marine Corp. Veteran. He worked as a Regional Sales Director and distributor for Kirby Vacuum for many years. He loved golf, Tennesee Vols football and spending time with his granchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28th at 3:00 pm at Rossville Church of Christ located at 1100 McFarland Ave. Rossville, GA 30741. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation.
