Mrs. Elizabeth VonSchaaf Barger

Elizabeth Barger, 88, of East Ridge passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. She was of the Presbyterian Faith and was retired from Standard Coosa Thatcher. Mrs. Barger was a member of the East Lake Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 95, and Gold Star Wives.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Mosley; second husband, Archie H. Barger, Jr.; parents, David and Agnes VonSchaaf; brothers, James, Earlon, Willard and Lillard (Smoky) VonSchaaf; sister, Katherine Crouch; granddaughter, Elizabeth Mosley.

Survivors include two sons, David Barger of East Ridge and Lillard Mosley of Chattanooga; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Markum of Chattanooga.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga for their excellent care.

Graveside services will be held at 1PM Wednesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Eva Knab officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
