Luther Doyle Ailey “Pops”, 89, of East Ridge passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
Doyle was a former member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church and was active in United Methodist Men. He was the owner of A&C Services and specialized in fixing things. Doyle was involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and was an avid UT Football Fan. He loved antique cars, especially his 65 Rambler. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of American Legion Post 95.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Glynn Millett, Jimmie Clark and Tom Ailey and his little brother, Les Jones.
Survivors include his two daughters, Tonya Carver and Maria Ailey; two grandchildren, Audra Carver and Eron Carver; several nieces and nephews and his two dogs, Jake and Megan.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
