David Merton Killeffer

David Merton Killeffer, son of Dr. and Mrs. John Killeffer, Jr. was born September 24, 1977 in Chattanooga and passed away September 18, 2023 at his home in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Kelley and Dr. and Mrs. John J. Killeffer; uncle, Samuel H. Killeffer and several great aunts and great uncles.

Survivors include his parents; brothers William and Richard Killeffer; aunts, Rose Mary (James) Dunbar and Miss Martha Killeffer; niece Anderson Grace Killeffer and several cousins. David was a graduate of McCallie School and Tennessee Technological University. At the time of his death he was employed by Truist Bank in Cookeville. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga through which he had participated in several mission trips to Europe and South America.

He is greatly missed by family and friends and the many animals he loved.

The family will have a graveside service at Forest Hills Cemetery at 1 PM Monday, September 25, 2023 where Forrest Walker will have scriptures and prayers.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
