Mr. Skinner was born and raised in East Ridge and was a graduate of East Ridge High School Class of 1976. He was of the Christian faith and was a self-employed contractor and co-owner of L & D Development Inc. Danny was also previously employed at Colonial Bakery for 18 years and also TJ Snow Company. Danny was also a member of the National Hot Rod Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Skinner, Sr. and nephew, Bradley Daniel Skinner.;
Surviving are his wife Lisa Skinner; stepchildren, Stephanie (Brandon) Harris and Travis and Sam Plunkett; grandchildren, Chanler, Ashlyn, Madison and Lena; mother, Delores Skinner; brothers, John (Dianne) Skinner, Jr and Jerry (Anna) Skinner; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Friday, January 6, 2012 and 12 to 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be at 1 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens South.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
