Cynthia Elizabeth Walker

Cynthia Elizabeth Walker, 91, of East Ridge, departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2015, in a local hospital. She was born June 21, 1923, in Chattanooga to the late Walter Neal and Mamie Louise (Stephens) Mathis.

She retired from Combustion Engineering Company after many years of service and was a member of the Green’s Lake Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorris E. Walker; son, Larry Walker; brothers, Walter, Robert, James, Woodrow, and Joe Mathis; and sisters, Margaret Mathis and Evelyn Jarrett.

Survivors include her son, Walter L. (Mary Helen) Walker; grandchildren, Neal Walker, Eric (Michele) Walker, Greg Walker, Myra Canady, Stephen (Rita) Walker, Daren (Darcy) Walker, and David (Alicia) Daniel; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jennie Davis and Barbara Roberson; brother, Fred Mathis; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the funeral home with Minister James Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Green’s Lake Road Church of Christ, 1209 Green's Lake Road, East Ridge, TN 37412.
