He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II.
Mr. Rowe attended New Haven Baptist Church. He was a member of the East Chattanooga Masonic Lodge.
His wife Evelyn T. Rowe of 60 years, four brothers, Herbert Rowe, Paul Rowe, Jack Rowe, and Gene Rowe, and daughter-in-law, Darlene Rowe preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gordon & Lois Rowe of Cleveland; grandchildren, Nathan (Khume) Rowe of Chattanooga; Kelton (Tabitha) Rowe of Ringgold; Greg (Elaina) Earps of Niota; Branden (Cady Pannell) Deering of Chattanooga; Zack Souter of Ringgold; Stephanie (Mark) Affron of Chattanooga; and great-grandchildren, Maddison, Drew, Jill, Nicholas , Braden Earps.
He was a loving and gentle family man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. and Sunday February 14, 2016 from 12:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in the East Chapel with Rev. Robert K. Schrader officiating.
Interment will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
