She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Marie Poorman; sisters, Florence Bryan, Edith Poorman, Dorothy Morgan; and nephews, William P. Morgan, James David Morgan, and a niece, Martha Morgan.
Left behind to cherish Carmel’s memory are one sister, Billie Rebecca Neil; nephews, James Weldon Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Stephen Morgan, Tyler Morgan (Paula); and nieces, Joyce Morgan, Angela Morgan (Jim), and Laura Morgan; and cousins, Brenda and Danny Marsh.
A Celebration of Carmel’s life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with Bro. Dwight Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Carmel will be laid to rest in Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Carmel’s honor to the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, PO Box 11203, Chattanooga, TN 37401.
