Carl E. Anderson

He was the son of the late Carl E. Anderson, Sr., and Jean Allen Anderson.

Carl was a veteran of the U S Air Force and had served his country in Vietnam. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and his law degree from Vanderbilt University. He began practicing law in Chattanooga in 1972 and retired in 2005. He enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid stamp collector having served as treasurer of the Chattanooga Stamp Club.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie Anderson, of Signal Mountain, TN, sons, Carl Eric Anderson (Rebecca), of Southlake, TX, Matthew Newkirk Anderson, of Signal Mountain, TN, grandchildren, Andrew, Clark, Owen, Angel, Kylie, Kylan, great grandson, Luka, sister, Kristen Robinson (Philip), of MA, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Chaplain Mike Justice officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the funeral home.
