Brooke Chantel Plemmons, 42, passed from this earthly life in the early morning hours of June 19, 2024.
Brooke was born on June 7, 1982, in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. For the majority of her life, she was a resident of the Northwest GA/Chattanooga area. At the time of her passing she was residing in Ringgold, GA.
Brooke, an enrolled member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, was a graduate of Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe High School (class of 2000) where she played oboe in the concert band as well as flute and piccolo in the marching band. She was also a member of Georgia’s 7th District Honor Band as an oboist. In addition to her musical talents, Brooke, while in her teens, was involved in team dance. She was employed as a cashier with Lowe’s in Ft. Oglethorpe at the time of her death.
Brooke was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Odas M. Davis; paternal grandparents, Franklyn W. and Aileen C. Plemmons; uncles Steven L. and Gregory D. Davis.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Blake Clark of Rossville, GA and Christopher Jones of Ooltewah, TN; biological daughter, Madeleine Plemmons of Rossville, GA; her parents, Steve and Tonya Plemmons of Rossville, GA; sisters, Amber Holzhey and husband, Bryan of La Vista, NE; Cayla Plemmons and friend Ryan Novak of Tucson, AZ; nephews, Isaac, Elijah and Ethan Holzhey all of La Vista, NE; maternal grandmother, Barbara Davis of Rossville, GA. As well as an extended family of aunts and cousins.
The family will welcome friends and honor Brooke’s memory with a reception hosted by the members of the East Ridge church of Christ on Saturday, August 3 from 2-4 p.m. in the Fellowship Room of the church located at 951 McBrien Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the East Ridge church of Christ Mission Fund.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the leadership and members of the East Ridge church of Christ as well as Mike Blevins and the staff of Chattanooga Funeral Home East and Valley View Chapels for the extraordinary compassion, care, service and support given to us during this difficult time.
