Billy worked as a truck driver over 35 years, with Carolina Transportation until his retirement.
He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan. He was also a long time bowler. He served as a director on the Chattanooga Area Bowling Association for several years as well.
He was a volunteer at Brainerd Golf Course, and volunteered with the Little Angels Golf Tournament.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Elsie Nesbitt and his half sister Mary Nesbitt Wisham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, LaDora, two sons Scott ( Melissa) Nesbitt and Greg (Cheryl) Nesbitt as well as his three grandchildren Megan, Lauren, and Brody Nesbitt.
Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and
6 to 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the Nesbitt family asked that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center in honor of Eli Williams.
