Annie Laurel Haynes, 86, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2021. She was of the Baptist faith and faithfully attended Riverside Baptist Church for over 50+ years. She worked for and retired from Buster Brown where she was a pattern designer.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Janie Sowell, sisters, Virginia Ayres, Wilmer Anderson, Deweese Lee, and brothers, Fred, Watley, Lenwood, and Tommy Sowell.
Left behind to cherish Annie’s memory are her husband, Robert Haynes, sons, Ronald and Lebron Haynes, granddaughter, Wendy Haynes, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Annie’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Josh Parham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening April 6, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm. Annie will be laid to rest in the Lakewood Memory Gardens West.
We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.
