Reverend Jack H. Jennings, age 80, of East Point, GA, passed away on Monday, March 07, 2011. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He was The Way Side Minister. Rev. Jennings was a carpenter by trade. He was security at South Fulton Hospital as well as a volunteer Chaplin for 8 years. He loved the great outdoors. He visited in the nursing homes and also visited shut-ins. He loved his cat, Demi-Lou. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Betty J. Jennings; his son, William H. (Ruth) Jennings; his daughters, Shirley (Jim) Harper and Sheila (Greg) Barbee; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Sara (James) Hayes; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at College Park Cemetery in College Park, GA with Reverend William Lee Morgan officiating. The visitation will be at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral home in East Point, GA on Wednesday, March 09, 2011 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Odyssey Hospice or Healthfield Hospice.
